cozy lodge with Beautiful ocean view
This cozy lodge has been operating since 1981 and was one of the first dive lodges at Panagsama Beach, Moalboal. It’s located right next to Seaquest Dive Center, and has a very beautiful view on the ocean with the Island of Negros right across. The lodge has a very casual, laid back atmosphere, guests dress in t-shirts and shorts and get together at mealtimes, which are served ‘buffet’ style or a la carte. Our kitchen has built up quite a reputation over the years, so make sure you sample our dishes!
ABOUT US
After visiting the Philippines during his travels, Dutchman Bj Schaap started his first Seaquest Dive Center in Moalboal back in 1981. These were the real pioneering days when tourism in the Philippines was still unheard of, except to backpackers with the lonely planet guide! Slowly in the 1980’s tourists were starting to finds their way to the Philippines, diving became ever more popular, so it was time to expand and in 1990 a new dive shop was established at Alona Beach, Panglao Island, Bohol.
The last decade has seen plenty of tourism development; the industry is still growing and so are we. Thirty (30) years of operating resorts and dive centers has given us valuable experience. We are one of the longest established and most experienced scuba diving operators in the Visayas. The Seaquest Philippines organization now consists of two dive centers, and two dive resorts. All dive centers have the 5 star PADI Gold Palm ranking.
The success of the organization is the professional atmosphere combined with welcoming friendliness. Bj Schaap and his wife Maritess, who is responsible for the beautiful gardens and homely decorations throughout the resorts, have worked hard to get where they are today. Their efforts have resulted in a steady flow of new and repeating guest who enjoy the holiday environment that they have created.
“Our guests come in as strangers but leave as friends!”
Bert Jan "Bj" Schaap
